Description of First lesson, week 1-3: Our lesson was focused on students imagining and creating their own worlds and aliens. The aliens that students created, were the inhabitants of the planets that they previously created. After students had completed their planets and aliens, the students all worked together on a space themed mural. The students glued their planets and other space objects on the mural. Rationale for Plan: We decided to have our students do this lesson because it is important for students to utilize the creative part of their brain. Creativity and imagination is essential for all careers, so students should train this skill as much as possible. Students also got the opportunity to work together on a mural. Collaboration is another vital skill needed in the adult world.

Description of second lesson, week 4 and 5

For this lesson we taught 5th graders. We created a lesson in which the students designed, and created a model for a hypothetical city. To begin, we had students hypothesize what their city would look like, and sketch it out on paper. During this process, students had to debate with each other about what should and should not be included within their city. After this, the students crafted buildings and structures out of different materials. Students were able to create an entire city with many different structures.
